In this 5 part series I want to talk about the "5 death moves" in Golf, the worst swing faults and a few tips to cure them.
Every golfer knows that and suffered from time to time from bad swing habits and the results are missing on the course. Often a small tip and a second pair of eyes can help with a proper analyze.
Primary it's important to analyze the swing patterns and the ball flight and cure the problem with specific drills.
As with every long club a "over the top" down swing will occur a unmanageable ball flight. This happens because your swing
path is swinging extensively from outside to inside and depending on your club face direction two main faults will show up:
Nummer 1:
The banana slice with lots of side spin and a lack of compression on the club face you will loose dramatically distance with your shot.
Nummer 2:
The flat pull hook, which starts already to the left and even curves more to the left. This shot mostly only flies half distance and this ball flight will get you in big troubles especially on
narrow golf courses.
Tip
1: Try to hit the ball more from the inside low side.
Tip 2: Start the down swing with the right sequence with your legs and hips not with your arms and the club.
Tip 3: Swing with your right arm only while extending your left arm as in set up position, so the right arm has to swing through underneath
(right handed players)
Have fun and enjoy your practice and if you need further assistance don't hesitate to contact me.
